To get a dumpster permit in Houston, you have to fill out an application form, along with an affidavit that should be notarized. Visit the Houston solid waste website for more information.
Generally in a Houston residential area, you can place the dumpster on the street if it does not conflict with any homeowner’s association bylaws or obstruct traffic or neighbors property. For commercial jobs, a permit is going to be required to place a permit on the street and the dumpster cannot obstruct and sidewalks or building exits.

I was taken aback at the sight of the dumpster and my immediate thought was that i was delivered the worst and ugliest bin in the entire inventory. I also remember reading that care would be taken to preserve the drive way in the placement of plywood or something for the dumpster to sit on. The driver provided nothing and scratched the drive way in the unloading and pickup process.
